The Technology: Taking a massive 50 grams of discretionary weight out of the club, Fusion Technology gives each FT-5 Driver increased distance, accuracy and shot shaping control in accordance with a new OptiFit Weighting System aligned in a neutral configuration. This provides maximum workability in your game and because the weight is placed right at the back, it promotes longer, straighter drives. Combine this with a huge 460cc head size and an extra long and wide face, you get massive amounts of inertia and forgiveness for tremendous tee offs! The Technology: The XLS driver has a face 17-percent larger and MOI 17-percent higher than the previous generation HiBore XL driver. It comes in three models, the Tour, Standard and Draw. The Draw model has a closed face, offset hosel and internal heel weighting; the Tour has a more traditional shape and an open face angle. |
CLEVELAND HIBORE XLS :
The Cleveland HiBore XLS drivers, have the distinctive lowered, or scooped, crown that helps lower the center of gravity
The Scoop From The Snoop: OK, I admit, the first shot I hit with this I popped it up right into the range ceiling which is quite a feat in itself. Of course, the resulting idiot mark didn't go down well with the pro shop staff but I digress. Personally I don't like the look too much but then again Ive always been accused of being shallow. The driver is long and what I like about it the most is its workability, being able to work the ball both ways effortlessly.

The Technology: Three rear weight pads further aid forgiveness. But Burner's real claim to fame may be that it's lighter and longer than most sticks. The REAX shaft, by Fujikura, is an inch longer than standard (46 inches) but weighs just 50 grams. The total package is 10 percent lighter (299 grams) than standard clubs. The idea, of course, is to get you swinging faster. |
TAYLORMADE BURNER :
The Burner is deeper (from front to back) than any driver head in company history. The number 1 driver on Tour delivers again
The Scoop From The Snoop: Sweet looking and even sweeter when you hit it. Big improvements over the orginal Burner and I've put this one in my back up bag just because of the cool name.
