IRONS: FEBRUARY 2008 GOLF BLING BLING

The Technology: The X-20 Tour Irons combine Callaway Golf’s best X Series iron technology with traditional styling for tour-level looks and feel. X Series irons have always been about performance and forgiveness. The X-20 Tour Irons advance that heritage with design elements more accomplished players will relish. With a shorter blade length, a narrower sole, thinner top line and square toe, these irons have all the elements better players seek for increased workability, in addition to the Callaway Golf playability you’ve come to expect.

CALLAWAY X20 TOUR :
Proof that Callaway don't just make mega improvement clubs

The Scoop From The Snoop:
These are the players version of the X20 and while maybe a little big to be a true players club, they still bring a little rollover in my pants when I look at them. I'm not a big fan of Callaway because of the traditional bulkiness of most clubs but these are off da hook.

The Technology: Gelback, Cleveland Golf's lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration-damping material, is placed directly behind the hitting area of the clubface in the back cavity. Gelback is vibration-tuned to remove unwanted vibration on mis-hits while still allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel.

CLEVELAND CG RED :
The CG Red "Tour Spec" iron is the preferred option for Cleveland Golf's Tour staff. With a classic "player" profile, this club fits the eye of the accomplished golfer.

The Scoop From The Snoop:
These are my choice of players irons. Cleveland have been making some money irons over the last few years but have suffered from a lack of star power to market them.

The Technology: The re-engineered FP Irons have a unique combination of forgiveness with playability. The new sleeker head design and full cavity backed plate with urethane membrane offer enhanced feel along with a great look, while the relieved mid-width sole design, greater MOI and precision weighting give you superior playability under a wide variety of conditions.

COBRA FP :
Designed for players who benefit from the perfect balance of forgiveness, feel and playability.

The Scoop From The Snoop:
Another cool looking iron from Cobra that will you rplaying partners ohhing and ahhing. When I was a bit of ahcker I used Cobra but these irons are now amongst the best on the market in my opinion. Don't be disagreeing or I'll bust a cap in your ass.
